If you need some motivation and a kick in the pants, this book is for you. It has go get ’em, conquer the world, quit slackin’ energy. Some of us need that.
I, however, did not.
Rhinoceros Success came into my house several years ago (I think through a Ramsey Solutions book sale and my personal hopes at the time). It is a fast read at less than 100 pages. It has easy language and simple to grasp concepts and ideas. Like I said, if you need some motivation and go get ’em energy, Rhinoceros Success is for you.
Using the metaphor of a charging rhinoceros, this book shares the mindset, grit, and attitude it takes to be “a success.” Time management, goal setting, and life areas are all a part of the discussion. It is a “faith based book” in that it sprinkles in Scripture for encouragement and as a basis for the concepts. Someone who does not adhere to the christian faith could skip over those parts and still get something meaningful out of the book.
For me, however, I just felt tired when I read it. It just wasn’t the right book for me in this season of my life. But because I started it and it was so short, I went ahead and finished it. I will pass the book along to someone who I think actually will get something from it.
If you have read Rhinoceros Success, I’d love to hear what you thought! Tell me in the comments below.
