“I don’t know how you do it all.” I hear that phrase a lot. There are various answers I give. “I don’t either.” “I choose to let many things go.” “God just wired me that way.” All those answers are true. Some days I DON’T know how I manage a busy family and career. IContinue reading “Staying Organized with Theme Days”

2022 Goal Check-in and April Plan
Another month has come and gone. As I look forward to April and more spring-like weather, I’m taking time to pause and reflect on my goal progress during March (really the first 3 months of the year). Below are my 2022 goals and how I’m doing so far. I will read 36 books currently onContinue reading “2022 Goal Check-in and April Plan”
BREATHE
I’m an eternal optimist and recovering overdoer. I like to think I can do more than I can in the time that I have. I also like to believe things will go “right” with minimal snags. Life doesn’t always go as I want it to. So even though I set ambitious goals each year, IContinue reading “BREATHE”
My 2022 Goals
Each year I make goals for myself and my family. Goals help me stay focused, grow and improve, and live the kind of life I want to live. For a long time, I’ve used the SMART model of goal development – specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-bound. Since I’ve been setting personal goals for many years, I know I can teach others the goal setting life lessons I have learned and coach people toward their own success.
2021 in Review
For me, the week between Christmas and New Years is the perfect time to think about what was and look ahead to what could be. Of course you can do that anytime really. Review what happened and dream about possibilities. For me, a new calendar year is a natural time to do that. Any timeContinue reading “2021 in Review”
We hit a mini-goal!
What did we not pay? Where did I mess up? What is wrong? Racer was like “Extra money!!” He wanted to allocate it right away and I wanted to figure out what went wrong.
The Best Yes
Like my plate at the end of a buffet line, I often find my schedule and “to do” list overflowing with lots of good things, not enough room to really enjoy any of them and I am left feeling overstuffed, tired and not really satisfied.
Money vs. Health: my struggle
So, then the wrestle comes. How do I manage my money, my time and my physical self in a way that is pleasing to God and still keeps me on track for the goals our family has? How do I balance the need for exercise with the need to save money?
2015 Goals – Mid-year reveiw
At the beginning of this year, I set some goals for myself. I thought about them and talked them over with Racer. Some seem silly, some are more important. I suppose if I set some goals then I really should take time to review them and see how I’m doing right? No point in settingContinue reading “2015 Goals – Mid-year reveiw”
