Today marks Read Across America and schools across the country are celebrating reading. Many celebrate Dr.Seuss’s birthday since he did so much to foster reading in children. I happen to LOVE Dr. Seuss and have so many of his books here at home. I love children’s books – love to read them out loud. I had the privilege of reading a Dr. Seuss book to a 3rd grade class today. I chose My Many Colored Days. This is my 2nd favorite Dr. Seuss book and it was published after his death. The illustrations are beautiful and it reminds me that even after crazy emotional days – good and bad – that things will calm down and go back to normal (whatever that is). I am reminded that through all the emotions of life, the God that created us is the God that loves us through it all. Whether we are having a brown day, a blue day, an orange day, a black day or a pink day, Jesus still wants to have a relationship with us. I am forever grateful for that and hope that people can see God in me, even on the blackest and brownest of days…
