Kris Mares is a racing wife, mom of seven, and ordained United Methodist pastor. She has served in various ministry roles over the past 19 years and her passion is encouraging people to “live a life worthy of their calling” (Ephesians 4:1). Kris is a trained life/leadership coach and speaks on motherhood (including foster care and adoption), the importance of “ministry with” others, and personal growth. Kris, I read your wonderful and prayerful reply to Walt Muellers post regarding the Gosselin’s. Thank you for reminding me and others to pray in response to everything. I have copied your prayer and will send it to the Gosselin’s as it says perfectly what I feel for them and hope for them all. I am also interested in your mention of Celebrate Recovery. A young Marine from my church whi I happened to meet in the lobby of our church while we were tending to my grandson and his daughter during services told me about this program. He is a returning veteran from Iraq and shared with me the anger he felt inside and his subsequent drug problem. He is clean now and working a program as well as relying on Jesus. Please pray for Brian. Thank you.
