I’m not sure how long this book has been on my shelf. I’m not even sure where it came from. It’s small, about the size of my hand, and thin. Not much to it. And yet it for sure packs a spiritual punch. One Faithful Promise, by Magrey R. deVega, is a must read forContinue reading “Book Review: One Faithful Promise”

Book Review: Embraced
There tucked into the pages were reminders for me, words to encourage and guide.
Book Review: The Grace-Filled Life
The Grace-Filled Life: 52 Devotions to Warm Your Heart and Guide Your Path was something I picked up several years ago, intending to maybe use it for a small group or something. This year, however, I tried to commit to reading only books already on my shelf, and this was one I wanted to get to.
Worship is Work is Worship
Worship is about picking up the toys, doing the paperwork, cooking the food, finishing the homework, answering the phone calls, and serving others with an attitude that is glorifying to God, that is grateful and honoring.
After a Bad Day

Being Me in Proverbs 31
For Christian women, there is a lot of conversation that happens around being a “Proverbs 31 woman.” There is even a whole ministry dedicated to being a Godly woman of noble character. Let me just say, I find it incredibly hard to live up to that standard. Proverbs 31 – Epilogue: The Wife of NobleContinue reading “Being Me in Proverbs 31”
I Have a Friend Who…
How many times have you heard someone start a story and you think “yeah, right.” Well in this case it’s true. This is not my story. The story you are about to read is from a dear friend of mine. She tells it (and has given me permission to share it) so that God’s loveContinue reading “I Have a Friend Who…”
